Landmark of the Year - 2008

Bastion were back at the ‘Landmark of the year - 2008’ last month installing a catering facility to the reception desks, vanity units and wall panelling previously installed.

The Aquatics centre, the first of its kind between Leeds and Edinburgh was voted Landmark of the year at an awards ceremony courtesy of the Newcastle Journal. The Centre was also given the top prize within the retail / leisure sector, an area which Bastion have moved into over the past few year supplying many bespoke projects to an endless list of delighted clients.

The Catering facility is just one of these, consisting of a softwood frame and plasterboard surroundings. Bastion project managed the completion of the catering facility, overseeing the flooring, plumbing, electrics and decoration of the pod. The catering facility can be found in the reception area of the aquatics centre, complementing the impressive attack resistant reception counter, previously installed by Bastion.
