Court 1; a Crown Court was substantially upgraded, acquiring a secure dock with an additional feature roof for increased security. Court 1 also benefited from numerous benches for Clerks, Jurors and of course, the Judge. The rest of the court is complete with a press bench, fixed and loose furniture, all matching and all to Bastion’s characteristic very high quality.

Court 3; a Magistrate’s Court with a very similar style to Court 1, but incorporating a Magistrate’s bench, Usher probation bench and Advocate benches. Furthermore, with instructions from Southend Court House, Bastion installed a disabled ramp and matching hand rail to the Clerk’s bench. Another unique feature to Court 3 is the electronic strike release on the secure dock door; part of an interlocking process adding to what is already a very secure dock.

Finally, in both the Magistrate’s and Crown Court, Bastion designed, manufactured and installed light weight removable screens to attach to the witness stand, whilst overseeing the installation of speech enhancement systems for clearer communication throughout the Courts.
